Ofsted
We are delighted to share with you the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on the 13th and 14th May 2025.
Inspectors recognised that "pupils are friendly and welcoming at Corby Primary Academy. They enjoy school and their attendance is high." This reflects the positive culture we work hard to build every day.
It was also wonderful to read that "parents are carers speak highly of the school and the caring and supportive staff," and that they appreciate the clear communication which enables them to support the children effectively.
Ofsted highlighted the inclusive nature of our provision, noting that “the school includes and supports pupils well, including meeting the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).” Our commitment to supporting every child to thrive has clearly been recognised.
Inspectors praised our curriculum, calling it "ambitious" and "effectively sequenced" with engaging trips and experiences to enhance learning. They also recognised improvements we have made, particularly in writing and phonics, and described our reading provision as central to the curriculum with "pupils enjoying story time" and developing a strong love for reading.
The report confirms that “pupils achieve well here” and praised our curriculum, which is designed not only for academic achievement but also to promote our core values of respect, responsibility and resilience. Inspectors found that “pupils are confident and keen learners,” and that they “play kindly and cooperatively at playtimes and take care of the play equipment.”
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who is part of our academy community – the staff, the Trust, the children, and parents and carers who are continually dedicated to making Corby Primary Academy the best it can be. We will continue to strive for excellence in everything we do.
