Ofsted
We are delighted to share with you the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on the 13th and 14th May 2025. We are incredibly proud of the many strengths highlighted by the inspection team. Inspectors recognised that "pupils are friendly and welcoming, and they enjoy school and their attendance is high."
It was also wonderful to read that "parents and carers speak highly of the school and the caring and supportive staff" and that they appreciate the clear communication which enables them to support their children effectively.
Our curriculum is "ambitious" and is "effectively sequenced" with engaging trips and experiences to enhance learning. Inspectors recognised the improvements we have made, particularly in phonics in writing and phonics, and described our reading provision as central to the curriculum. "Pupils achieve well here" and our curriculum, which is designed not only for academic achievement, promotes our core values of respect, responsibility and resilience. Inspectors found that "pupils are confident and keen learners," and that they "play kindly and cooperatively at playtimes and take care of the play equipment."
Ofsted highlighted the inclusive nature of our provision, noting that "the school includes and supports pupils well, including meeting the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)."
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who is part of our academy community – the staff, the Trust, the children, and parents and carers, who are continually dedicated to making Corby Primary Academy the best it can be, and I am excited about what lies ahead as we continue to strive for excellence in everything we do.
