Your child's education at the Corby Primary Academy spans eight years and is divided into three phases: Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception), Key Stage One (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage Two (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6).
The Academy curriculum encompasses the sum total of learning opportunities that your child will experience whilst at school. It is planned with clear progression and cohesion to make learning experiences relevant and meaningful.
Our curriculum is designed to support the National Curriculum and our local context. Learning is planned to enable pupils to acquire knowledge, apply skills and develop links between subject areas. Our curriculum is enriched with a number of educational visits and enhanced experiences.
Our knowledge organisers are designed to highlight the key knowledge and vocabulary that teachers will be covering over the course of a term. There are Knowledge Organisers for each year group. Parents can use these to support pupils at home with their learning.
